1. Amazon is reportedly looking to acquire new locations to introduce its checkout less supermarket to Britain, says The Times. The retailer is looking for store sites with parameters ranging from 4,000 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft to fit in the size of the Amazon Go store.
2. ASOS customers can now shop using their voice via Google Assistant
ASOS has become one of the first fashion retailers in the UK to launch on Google Assistant, meaning customers can now shop its vast array of fashion across popular categories by using only their voice. Customers in the UK and the US can strike up a conversation with “Enki”, the ASOS shopping guide, by saying “Hey Google, Talk To ASOS” to their Google Home smart speaker or Google Assistant app on Android or iOS.
3. Targets newest incubator is looking for save the world kind of stuff
Target is no stranger to running startup accelerators. The company today operates its Target + Techstars program, the beauty-focused Target Takeoff, and the India-based Target Accelerator Program. Now it’s adding a fourth business accelerator to the mix with the launch of Target Incubator. The new program is aimed at Gen Z entrepreneurs and its only real require is that the businesses involved are doing some sort of good.
