How To Meet Modern Society's Most Innovative Start-Ups

Reported by Lauren Sharkey on Oct 24, 2018 5:08:00 PM

A great start-up offers a solution to a problem. And with venture capital investment in start-ups rising to its highest level in the US last year, more and more entrepreneurs are switching on the innovative side of their brains in the hopes of swiftly becoming a staple in a particular industry.

The fashion, luxury and retail markets are all booming with such companies. Many focus on the technological side of problem-solving; an element that has been sorely missing in all three sectors in recent years.

Intesa Sanpaolo is committed to showing the future of these industries with its second StartUp Initiative FashionTech Showcase. Set to take place in New York this November, the one day event welcomes corporate bodies, investors and the like.

Countless entrepreneurial minds will be presenting their ideas and taking questions throughout the day in a bid to prove how they can elevate and update the systems controlling the luxury and retail worlds. Each start-up will have come from either the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center Network, The Lead Network or the Decoded Future Network.

Fashion especially is in dire need of help. Brands are struggling to keep brick and mortar stores open thanks to low profits and are increasingly looking for ways to capture the hearts and minds of their customers. Whether it’s by demonstrating an ethical supply chain or utilising creative marketing methods, it’s clear there needs to be a change.

As well as pushing entrepreneurs into the spotlight, Intesa Sanpaolo’s event will feature several talks from leading fashion and retail companies. There will be a discussion on the revolution of the physical store and an overview of the current trends in the fashion technology space. Speakers will come from the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Mastercard Labs New York and Decoded Future.

There will also be the opportunity to network over lunch and attend the closing awards ceremony to get a better idea of the names and start-ups to watch out for. The day begins at 9am with the awards given at 2pm.

Too much networking is done behind a screen. It’s time to embrace the old-fashioned way and view these disruptive concepts with your very own eyes.

Intesa Sanpaolo’s StartUp Initiative FashionTech Showcase will take place on November 1 at Intesa Sanpaolo New York Hub, One William Street.
